The top photo is an unfinished house outside Boquete, the second is a stand at the local market.
I have a picture of that same house! It’s beautiful up there. I made the mistake of wearing shorts, and actually froze. No bueno!
The story I heard (from a reputable source) is that the house was being built by a man for his wife, but that he died before it was finished. I heard she’s still alive and still owns the property.
You can’t see it in this photo, but the building has a beautiful river running along one side of the property and a forest of pine (spruce?) trees as a backdrop.
