Urban advantage

Ice cream in Panama City, Panama, at US$2 for a single scoop cone (though we got 2 for 1 that day).

I live in Potrerillos Arriba, about 30 kilometers up in the mountains above David. Actually on the other side of the valley from Boquete (otherwise known as Gringolandia). There’s only one bus an hour to P.A. I LOVE the bus terminal in David. Great place for people-watching and, to me, is the REAL Panama. Many of the kiosks at the terminal sell ice cream and I especially like the chocolate with almonds. A small cup which is about a scoop and a half only costs 30 cents. They do have cones, but with the heat the ice cream melts too fast to make anything but a mess, ergo a cup.
